I do love the Skills Competition. Always fun to see who’s got the hardest shot or who the fastest skater is, etc. I also enjoy photographing it because since I am just a fan, they take down the glass for this event which is AWESOME.

SNOWMAGEDDON 2010

I couldn’t help but laugh yesterday when I saw on AOL that the first major snowstorm of 2010, was being named SNOWMAGEDDON! I mean, seriously…who thinks this up? It is absolutely crazy how much snow we’ve had this winter already. I believe Philadelphia area totals are up to about 56″…that’s almost as tall as I am!
What do you think of my new car? It’s a Hyundai Igloo! ;) Haha!

I’m really getting my money’s worth on my Winter Classic hat. Haha! So what I love about my neighborhood is that people help one another out….shovel driveway’s, clean off cars, clear paths to the backyard. It’s so nice.
Meet my mom & dad (they’ll love me for these photos. haha).

Liiiiiiiitle deep!

Now….meet Jamie.

She loves the snow.

And on a side note, these were all taken with my brand new 24-70mm 2.8! :) Love. It.

3 a : the quality or state of being inspired b : something that is inspired < a scheme that was pure inspiration >
4 : an inspiring agent or influence

Have you ever been hit with a tidal wave of inspiration? One that is so strong that everything in your being is telling you that you have to start doing something. That’s what happened to me on Thursday while I was surfing the web. Ironic, huh? Tidal waves and surfing. Hah! :P

Anyway, remember how I participated in the Philly Photog Shootout last month? Well I was looking at the Photog Shootout blog and there was this entry that just sort of…..hit me. It included this video – check it out:

The great thing about this video is not only is it perfect for the safety advertisement, and the photography business like Rob mentions in the blog post…but it’s PERFECT for LIFE. As humans, we miss out on so much in our busy lives that if we just take a minute to relax and enjoy life…good things are bound to happen for us.

I felt so motivated and creative after seeing the video that I was almost frightened. I wanted to push full force into my own world. The world that I created. The world that holds anything and everything I’ve ever wanted. It truly IS amazing. And with that said, I’m redesigning my website with a fresh, new look! I’ve recently booked my first wedding. I have a many photo sessions lined up that will allow me to create and have fun and help me become an even better photographer than I already know that I am. I’ve got so many ideas floating around in my head right now… I’m going places.

Speaking of places, here is a place that is truly breathtaking: Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland.

If you’ve never been then I highly suggest visiting. It’s one of those places that when you see it for the first time, you get this wonderful surreal feeling and you think to yourself, “Am I really here? Am I really seeing such a beautiful, heavenly place?” And would you believe this was the first time that I got to see the “other side” of the Atlantic Ocean. It was also my first European trip and now I am hooked. Can’t wait to go back!

A FAN’S VIEW | Flyers vs. Carolina Hurricanes 01.23.10

I realize I’m a little backwards here….I have a few more hockey games that should have been blogged before this game but I was just too excited to show off these photos. I’m very happy with them. :)

Flyers win 4-2 and former Flyer, Rod Brind’Amour scored for the ‘Canes.

Rod is my favorite hockey player. Ever. I was so happy the year the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup because if any athlete ever deserved a Championship, it was him. Talk about underrated.

This next picture just doesn’t look right….Roddy should be wearing the “C”. :P

And last, but not least, my other favorite… Andrew Alberts!

I want to play hockey.
