Vancouver Island, British Columbia // Part 1

So every time I go on vacation I say that I’m going to make a photo book. But for real this time, I’m going to make a photo book! I’ve been home for two weeks and I’ve already edited my photos and am now blogging them. That for sure has to be a record. You’re probably wondering what vacation I’m talking about…

Well, last month a few friends (Jaime & Mary) and I went to Vancouver, BC to visit my friend Alvina who I met all the way back in 2010 at a photography workshop in Phoenix. I’m so thankful to have friends in far places so I can feel like a “local” while traveling. Thanks so much Alvina for showing us around!! You’re an excellent tour guide. 🙂

I have a lot of photos to share so I’m going to split them up into 3 or 4 blog posts. This one consists of the BC Ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo, the Royston Shipwrecks, Goose Spit, Comox Marina and Kye Bay.

But enough talk, here are the photos… {insert drum roll}

And that’s a seal’s head above!

Montgomery County Family Photographer {Baby C}

Happy Snow Day to everyone! It may be March, and I may be sick of winter, but I was happy to use a day to get a few things off my “to do” list. It doesn’t happen often, but some days off are extra productive…today was one of those days.

Meet Baby C. A handsome, tired (as you can see by all of his yawning), HAPPY baby. I had the pleasure of meeting him and his parents Sunday a week ago for their portrait session. C was the perfect model, too.

South Jersey Family Photographer {The R Family}

As you may already know, by day I work as an event planner for a town in New Jersey. This particular session with the R Family brought me to a park in the town I work for. Over the past few months I’ve seen tons of photographers in this park so it was nice for me to get a chance. I am still so in love with the light we had yesterday morning. It’s just so gorgeous!
